International Women’s Day Global Golf Event 2019

Enter & Play

Anyone and everyone! Seniors, juniors, and all ages in between. High or low handicappers, even no handicap – weekday or weekend… that means everyone, anywhere in the world.

Come together, a crowd of golfers playing to celebrate International Women’s Day, raising money for good causes. Gracing the fairways across all time zones, all longitudes and latitudes. Separated by geography but united online in competition, spirit and purpose. Couldn’t be simpler – enter, make a donation direct to the charity of your choice, play and submit your score!

ANY ROUND OF GOLF

Playing any day between 8th – 14th March 2019, make sure you enter your round. There will be both an individual and a team competition over 9 or 18 holes  – stroke play, hole by hole, with maximum double par, then pick up and move on.

CELEBRATE TOGETHER

Invite friends and colleagues to join in –  encourage those who have never played to try golf for the first time. Captains, societies, club sections – organise a special day and raise funds for your charity.  All entry fees go direct to  your choice of charity – 100%.

Organised by Golfcrowd.online, we don’t touch any money. Our global events help raise funds for local charities across the world and for our nominated charity, Lendwithcare. #PuttforGood

Your event and players will be eligible for a whole host of prizes donated by iGo.golf – awards not just for playing but also for taking part and adding to the fun of the day.

iNTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY THEME 2019

#EachforEqual

The IWD theme for 2020 is #EachforEqual. For International Women’s Day 2020 and beyond, how will you #EachforEqual?

BALANCE

An equal world is an enabled world. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements.  Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world, wealthier and more harmonious  – A gender equal world can be healthier, so what’s not great about that?

MOTIVATE OTHERS

The race is on for the gender equal boardroom, a gender equal government, gender equal media coverage, gender equal workplaces, gender equal sports coverage, more gender equality in health and wealth … so let’s make it happen. So put your arms out front and STRIKE THE POSE to motivate; make International Women’s Day YOUR day.

TAKE ACTION

Be part of the year-long activity that tenaciously challenges bias, tirelessly supports women’s advancement and openly celebrates achievement.

MAKE PROGRESS

Let’s celebrate the progress of women’s golf, compare notes, relate stories of “How it used to be” and discuss how women’s golf should develop in the future.

Like to keep in touch

Don’t worry – you will not be bombarded with lots of emails. Just when we have exciting news – and that’s a promise!

Last Year’s Event

Since the 1st International Women’s Day Event in 2018,  we have raised large sums of money for hundreds of different charities across the world. Coping with mega weather events in both hemispheres of the world,  organisers and teams have created novel and new ways to take part. Golf course closed – go to the range and use our special competition formats. Hoping for good weather in 2020 with even more players in more countries finding new ways to celebrate women’s achievements in golf.

It is about taking part … but about winning too. As well as team and individual prizes donated by iGo Labs Ltd, we will top-up donations to the charities supported by our champions.

Here’s what some of the players taking part said:

We took to the fairways wearing purple, green and yellow… Thanks for organising a great day- we hope to do it bigger and better next year!

At the moment all roads to the golf course (& the village!) are blocked with no sign of the snow disappearing anytime soon. We have a fair bit of interest, with members bringing friends, etc & having lunch afterwards. Just not sure when it will happen.

Sun shone and we all had fun… played the purple ball which sadly did not provide the scores we hoped for!
